Robin and her family lived in Elyria and their three children went to Elyria City Schools. When her husband failed to show up at work, a co-worker went to check on him and found bullet casings outside the house and called the police. Upon entering the house, officers found her husband had shot and killed Robin, their three children and the family dog before killing himself. It is believed that Robin had been planning to move out of the house before she was killed.
