Lauren was a mother of three and lived in Elyria. She told friends she was planning to leave her abusive boyfriend. Days later, she was found dead in her home. The cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head and neck. Her boyfriend was charged with involuntary manslaughter and felonious assault. He was given 16 years for her death.
