Become A Volunteer
There are many ways you can take an active role in helping Genesis House. Check out the list below for some of our available volunteer opportunities, both for individuals and groups. There is a wide variety of things that you can help us with, and if you have a hobby or a skill that you believe could be handy to us please let us know!
Things To Note
For confidentiality reasons we do NOT allow volunteers in shelter for the safety and privacy of the individuals we serve.​ All volunteer groups of individuals under 18 must have adult supervision
Upcoming Opportunities
Come Spring/Summer 2024 we could use a group of volunteers to clean up the grounds around our Outreach Building of garbage and weeds. Trash bags and yard waste bags will be provided, but you will need to provide you own gardening tools and gloves. This is a great project for groups under 18.

To sustain our mission to provide a comprehensive array of services to domestic violence victims in Lorain County, Genesis House relies on the generous contributions from individuals, businesses, and organizations throughout Lorain County. Whether your company or organization has $1,000 or $100,000 in charitable dollars set aside, Genesis House has an opportunity for you to become a community partner. We can tailor a giving program to your company’s budget and philanthropic needs. Every dollar will allow us to continue to provide the highest quality domestic violence education and support services in Lorain County.
